The N.Q.P. own a 23-5 regular season record and had also won 3 straight playoff games before being humbled at the hands of Grid Iron ('01). Paul Difilippo had orchestrated his Championship season with a set strategy from Day 1 : Acquire as much talent as possible, no matter the cost. League MVP Marshall Faulk led the Grid Iron to a league record 160 pts in the pinnacle game.
