The Polk High Panthers were able to go from Wild Card Team to League Champion
after defeating the # 3 seeded The Bigg Doggs 100.5 - 52.5 in the Fantasy Bowl.
Craig came into the season with a foundation built on Peyton Manning, a steal
from the 2012 Auction at $50, Alfred Morris, and Jason Witten. At the 2013
Auction, Craig was able to pick up Demaryius Thomas, Larry Fitzgerald, and a
couple of classic running backs in Steven Jackson and Rashard Mendenhall.
Craig's season blasted out of a cannon with a 7 TD effort from Peyton Manning
and 185.0 points (3rd best all-time). By the time Week 8 came, the Polk High
Panthers were only 4-3, but squarely in the Wild Card mix.
Not blessed with the deepest of benches, Craig was going to need to improve his starting lineup by trading some of his starters away. A week 9 trade netted him Jamaal Charles and an Aaron Rodgers-less Jordy Nelson. At the trade deadline, Craig was able to acquire Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. These four new starters were going to need to outperform Alfred Morris, Demaryius Thomas, and Andre Ellington for the Polk High Panthers to make the playoffs. The Polk High Panthers actually lost in both Week 9 and Week 10. Craig needed to go on a 4 game winning streak to make the playoffs. He got a little help from Matt Low, who went 2-2 down the stretch. Craig had his sights on the division, but Paul DiFilippo was able to pull out a victory in the final week of the regular season.
In Round 1 of the playoffs, Craig got a Scandalous League record 72.0 points from Jamaal Charles, leading the Polk High Panthers by Bristol University 178.5 - 123.5. In his 5th Fantasy Bowl appearance, Craig was able to get by The Bigg Doggs on his way to his 3rd Scandalous League Football Championship.
With 3 Football Titles, Craig joins Jeff Nassiff (3), Brian Guilmet (3), and Mike Wakeley (5) as the only 3 time winners.
