Toilet Bowl Loser: Pugh Mahone (John O.)

Fantasy Bowl: Swamee Selects (Rick) defeated Frozen Tundra (Eric), 119.0- 104.5.

Swamee Selects knocked off the #1 seeded Frozen Tundra with a 119.0- 104.5. victory in the Fantasy Bowl.

Swamee Selects began the season with Matt Ryan and Demaryius Thomas as his two cornerstones. Rick made a pre-season deal with the NQP and traded Danny Woodhead for Ryan Tannehill. That trade ended up being a steal as Woodhead got hurt and Tannehill evolved into a solid #2 QB. The Swamee build a solid lineup through the auction. Antonio Brown and Adrian Peterson were the big-ticket additions to the team. Jordan Reed also had his option picked up for the 2014 season. Rick's strategy was to go cheap on his #3 RB and #3 WR and see how things panned out. Chris Johnson/Chris Ivory would be his #3 RB tandem and his # 3 WR rotation was a cast of characters. Swamee Selects was blindsided by the Adrian Peterson indefinite suspension. This potentially would put Rick's salary cap and playoff chances in limbo all season. In a veteran move, Rick had also picked up Matt Asiata and rookie Jerick McKinnon to back up AP. Snake-bitten, Rick also lost Jordan Reed to injury, but had some depth at the TE position with Delanie Walker. At the trade deadline Swamee was able to spin Adrian Peterson's carcass with the Minnesota running backs for LeSean McCoy. McCoy didn't end up being the stud #1 RB that Rick would hope for, but he was good enough to solidify the RB position and not have to rely on McFadden or guess which MIN RB was going to get the scores. Rick was able to strike free-agent gold when he acquired rookie WR Allen Robinson. Robinson filled that #3 WR slot nicely until he also got injured in Week 10. At that point Swamee turned to another rookie WR - Odell Beckham Jr., who began making circus catches on a weekly basis and carried Rick through the most important part of the season. ODB averaged 24 points/game over the last 5 weeks of the season and gave Swamee Selects and unbeatable 1-2-3 punch at WR. A week 13 pick-up of Toby Gerhart ended up being a valuable start in the Fantasy Bowl.

Swamee Selects were leading their division since Week 3, but also were able to get hot at the right time to make the playoffs. Rick won 2 of his last 3 division games and then proceeded to knock The Bigg Doggs out in the semi-finals. The top scoring and #1 seeded Frozen Tundra was a tough match-up, but Destiny was calling for Swamee Selects.

This is Rick's first championship in the Scandalous League.
